8 Ways to Wear Red Jeans

I’m a big fan of the colored jeans trend. From the deeper hues of winter to the summer sorbets, having colored jeans in your wardrobe is a must. Colored jeans act as a neutral; you can pair them with other neutrals like navy and brown, complementary colors, and patterns. It’s a great way to switch up the black, brown, or dark blue bottom/colored top routine.
8 Ways to Wear Red JeansI adore my Bordeaux Skinny Jeans from cabi. They’re a soft, brushed denim with some stretch to the fabric, the perfect shade of red, and they’re comfortable enough to wear all day. I paired them with navy and different shades of grey and brown. In most of my outfits, there are two colors in addition to the jeans – brown and cream; grey and black; blush and dark brown. The jeans anchor the outfits, while the colors and patterns add visual interest. All of the clothes are from cabi, and I accessorized with Stella & Dot jewelry.

Love Countryside

I love navy and red together. The Countryside Sweater is so cozy and warm, and layered over the Love Blouse, it makes the perfect winter outfit. The Sam Edelman Penny Boots are a great addition to your shoe wardrobe. I have them in black and brown. I’m wearing the Horizon Chandelier Earrings.

Cover Up Tee

With different shades of brown and rust/blush and a tiny light blue stripe running through it, the Cover Up Tee is as flattering as it is comfortable. I have the Simple Cami on under it. It has adjustable lingerie-style straps, and it doesn’t ride up. I’m wearing my monogram necklace from Stella & Dot, an everyday favorite. The Horizon Chandelier Earrings add sparkle and movement. I’m also wearing a pair of my favorite Tieks flats. I would get one in every color if I had unlimited funds and closet space!

Estate Jacket

The Estate Jacket was one of my favorite cabi purchases from the Fall 2014 Collection. It’s so easy to wear – leopard really is a neutral. It’s a must-have in your wardrobe, whether it’s in a shirt or jacket or in an accent piece like shoes or a scarf. You may or may not be surprised to learn that I have it in all four. 😉 I’m also wearing the Black Layering Tee and Sam Edelman booties. If you haven’t discovered this brand, you should check it out. I love these suede booties with fringe but convinced myself that I had enough booties for this season, so I didn’t get them. I wear the Relic Pendant often. A mix of hand-beaded semi-precious hematite and mixed metal beads create this everyday layering necklace with a stunning arabesque pendant accented with hand-set micro pave detail. It’s a great price point at $89.

The Cowl Poncho has gotten a lot of wear this winter! I paired it with cabi’s Serenity Tee in grey and grey suede wedge booties from Nine West. The Freya Fringe Necklace polishes off the outfit. A new trend you should try is rolling up your jeans when you wear booties. This looks really cute when you wear boyfriend jeans.

Zigzag Jacket

The Zigzag Jacket and Grey Serenity Tee are two of my favorite cabi purchases from this fall. I like the shape of the jacket; it has a seam at the natural waist and flares away from the hips a little bit, which creates a nice silhouette. The tee is super soft; I wish I’d gotten two! The Legend Pendant is a great layering necklace. We have it in gold, too. Wearing my Sam E booties again!

Swear By Sweater

The Pamper Me Tee is the perfect layering shirt. It’s longer in the back than in the front, and it works well with leggings, too. (Gotta cover the back and the front when you’re wearing leggings!) I got this Swear By Sweater from a past cabi season in a resale group on Facebook. There are so many choices for finding past garments from favorite brands these days – eBay, thredUp, Poshmark, and countless Facebook groups. I lost a lot of weight in the fall and had to rebuild my entire wardrobe. It helped that I was able to get a lot of great pieces at discounted prices. One of the things I like about cabi is that you can mix and match items from all seasons. The t-shirt, sweater, and jeans are from three different seasons but look great together. My Sam E Penny boots in cognac made an appearance in this outfit. I’m wearing my gold monogram necklace and the Horizon Chandelier Earrings. The long gold chain is one of the strands from the Zuni Layering Necklace.

Gigi Cape

When I saw the Gigi Cape from cabi’s Fall 2015 Collection, I put it on the top of my wish list. It’s a soft grey background with splashes of what I’m calling café au lait and light and dark grey spots. It looks great with just about anything – dark wash jeans, grey jeans, black leggings, cabi’s Celadon Cargos, and, of course, the Bordeaux Jeans. Wearing it with the grey Serenity Tee, and grey suede booties, and our gorgeous Pegasus Necklace in silver. Unfortunately, we don’t have it in silver anymore, but we do have it in gold. It’s a stunner!

Ginger Top

This is one of my favorite outfits – the Patchwork Sweater and Ginger Top, with my trusty Penny boots. I will wear this outfit in the spring with flats unit it’s too warm to wear a sweater. Horizon Chandelier Earrings…again. 🙂
