Fashion Friday: Think Pink

Think Pink

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and today’s Outfit of the Day features one of the fall’s hottest colors: pink! Fresh, fun, and flirty, pink is having a resurgence, thanks to the neon trend. I love the contrast of the bright colors and the dark wash jeans, and the white blazer and two-piece ballet flats add a classic touch to the modern color palette.

Anchoring this look is our Pop Geo Pendant Necklace. Pops of pink, shades of orange, and hand-set neutral sparkle in a gold-plated casting give any outfit an instant update. The Chelsea Tech Wallet is a must-have for your accessories wardrobe. It holds your cash, credit card, phone and keys. Pop it in your purse and use it as a wallet during the day, then wear it on your wrist at night. The Strength and Inspire bracelets are part of Stella & Dot’s Breast Cancer Awareness Boutique this year. 100% of net proceeds from the sales of these bracelets and our Hope Necklace benefit the Noreen Fraser Foundation which funds research, prevention, and treatment for breast cancer and all women’s reproductive cancers.

Think Pink Get the Look

Blazer, Shell, Jeans, Shoes

To recreate this outfit, I searched for pieces that will fit and flatter all body types. Do you know how hard it is to find a white blazer in October? I guess retailers didn’t get the memo that you can wear white after Labor Day. The Bar III satin-lapel blazer is a close match to the inspiration jacket. I love the sleek, curved cut and the 3/4 sleeves. I couldn’t find a pink floral top (where Stella & Dot’s merchandizing team found the one they used, I’ll never know!) but the pleated neckline of this Calvin Klein top is a nice background for the Pop Geo Pendant. I think the necklace would also good over a black and white shell like the one under the white jacket. Dark wash jeans are a girl’s best friend. The feathering at the top and whitewash on inner thighs are slimming details we can all appreciate. Two-piece ballet flats are everywhere this season. I chose these from DSW for my outfit recreation because the suede resembles the texture in the other shoes.

What do you think of this outfit? Would you wear neon pink, white, and black together? It’s a bold color combination, for sure!
