Rachela’s Wardrobe Makeover

{If you haven’t entered my giveaway yet, click here for details!}

I recently did a wardrobe makeover for my friend, Rachela. As a small business owner (she runs a graphics design business, RCB Creative, and is an Independent Stylist for Stella & Dot), Rachela has a casual lifestyle. On weekdays, she works from home, holds new stylist trainings, attends client meetings, and does trunk shows. On weekends, she likes to hang out with friends, walk around the market, and get coffee when she’s not doing trunk shows.

Rachela usually wears neutral colors and is a little shy about prints. I wanted to spruce up her wardrobe for warm weather, incorporating some of the hottest colors for spring – turquoise, tangerine, and violet. Rachela has all the latest jewelry from Stella & Dot’s summer collection, so she can easily accessorize the outfits with the necklaces, earrings, and bracelets in her jewelry wardrobe.

I did The Whole-Kit-and-Caboodle for Rachela, and I stayed pretty close to her budget (I just had to add some more cute tops!) When I do a comprehensive update, I like to invest in high-quality basics. A good pair of trouser jeans or white denim will last for several seasons, so I tend to spend a little more on those items. Inexpensive dresses, tops, and fun shoes are a great way to incorporate each season’s trends without breaking the bank.
